Is Theology relative to the Christian?

What? How can this be?

Is philosophy of no use to mankind? Everything we live by today is based on philosophy -- or at least the philosophy of some philosophers of the past.

And I have a lot to say about this because I'm doing a study of all of the most popular philosophies since 600 B.C.

I'll share that over the next few weeks.

Philosophy is thoughts and understandings about life. Can mankind live without that?

Of course not!

In the same way, Christians cannot live without Theology. Because theology is philosophy with God in it.

Most philosophical ideas or ideals are without God. But theology is with God in it.

Now there is a problem. Some people are using theology in the wrong context altogether. And that gives theology the wrong name.

"Theos" means "God". So how can theology not be of any use to the Christian?

The 1965 edition of the Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary says this of theology:

"The science that deals with relgion; the science which investigates and systematizes knowledge concerning the existence, nature , and phenomena of God and his relations to man and the universe, also the relations of man to the universe and to God; divinity..."

I mean, it's all about Christian living.
